Job profile:

Colombia Diversa is looking for a person to lead the organisation's communications coordination, with the responsibility of strategically guiding the narratives, content and public positioning of the organisation's human rights agenda.

It requires a professional in areas such as social communication, social sciences, digital storytelling or other related fields, with five (5) years' experience in the design, development and management of communication processes.

Experience in gender, diversity and human rights issues would be an asset.

Requirements:
Academic background
  • Professional degree in social communication, journalism, digital storytelling, political science or other related fields.
  • Complementary or postgraduate training in strategic communication or communication for social change would be an asset.
Professional experience
  • Experience in the production and coordination of content for different formats and platforms (traditional media, social networks, digital campaigns and institutional publications).
  • Experience in leading teams, in coordination roles, and high conflict resolution skills. 
Knowledge and skills
  • Knowledge or experience of working on gender, sexual diversity, human rights or social justice agendas.
  • Knowledge of digital communication dynamics, audience analysis and positioning in social networks.
  • Strategic planning skills, project management and monitoring of communication indicators.
  • Capacity for political analysis and reading the media context.
  • Skills in graphic design and handling of tools for the use of web content.
  • Adaptability to change, pressure tolerance and teamwork skills. 
Main functions:
  • Lead the design and implementation of the organisation's communications strategy, in coordination with management and the different programme teams.
  • Guide the public positioning of Colombia Diversa in the media, social networks and other strategic communication spaces.
  • Develop content and narratives that strengthen the organisation's public advocacy on LGBTIQ+ human rights issues.
  • Lead on media and journalist liaison, including preparation of inputs, press releases, interviews and other briefing materials.
  • Coordinate and accompany the work of the communications team (community manager, graphic design and journalism), ensuring the strategic coherence of communication products and processes.
  • Coordinate coverage of relevant institutional events, including Colombia Diversa's participation in the LGBTI Pride March.
  • To monitor compliance with the communications strategy in the different projects of the organisation, by means of planning tools, work schedules and periodic reports.
  • Maintain the website and the different digital products of the organisation, such as the institutional email and social networks, up to date. 
  • Such other duties as may be assigned by the Directorate within the framework of the position. 
Type of contract:

Service contract until December 2026.

Value:

The service contract will have an approximate value of monthly fees between $6.600.000 and 7.600.000 M/Cte, according to the experience and profile of the selected person, in accordance with the requirements of the position.

Dedication:

A dedication of 40 hours per week is expected for the adequate development of the activities and the fulfilment of the activities of the contract.

Execution time - Start date.

Between late April and early May 2026, subject to finalisation of the selection process and contract signature.

Place of residence:

It is required that the person resides in Bogotá.
