{"id":4940,"date":"2025-10-09T21:49:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T21:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colombiadiversa.org\/?p=4940"},"modified":"2025-10-09T21:53:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T21:53:29","slug":"call-for-applications-for-the-position-of-peace-and-transitional-justice-lawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/colombiadiversa.org\/en\/call-for-applications-for-the-position-of-peace-and-transitional-justice-lawyer\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for the position of Peace and Transitional Justice Lawyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Date<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: From 9 to 19 October 2025<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Position.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Lawyer in the Peace and Transitional Justice Area<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Description.<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The person who performs the functions of this position will work under the Coordination of the Peace and Transitional Justice Area of Colombia Diversa or whoever the latter designates as supervisor of the contract and will be in charge of activities related to the promotion of access to transitional justice for victims of gender-based violence in the framework of the armed conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Functions.<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main functions include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accompany and represent victims of gender-based violence before the Special Jurisdiction for Peace in cases of gender-based violence.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the construction and execution of litigation strategies for the incorporation of the gender approach before the Special Jurisdiction for Peace.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in the meetings established by the Peace and Transitional Justice Area team with the different bodies of the Integral Peace System.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work in alliance with women's and feminist organisations and grassroots organisations to build strategies and produce documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide consultations and legal advice to victims of gender-based violence.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Draft documents for litigation and advocacy that are part of the objectives of the Peace and Transitional Justice Area.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representing the organisation at events, roundtables and different scenarios of alliance work or national and international advocacy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare contract performance reports, submit accounts receivable and social security slips for the collection of fees.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support follow-up, monitoring and reporting on Peace and Transitional Justice projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Complete the documentation requested by donors in support of the contract.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any other tasks assigned by the Coordination of the Peace and Transitional Justice Area or the Directorate of Colombia Diversa associated with the object of the present contract.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><b>Type of recruitment.<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Service contract, to be signed initially until December 2025 with the possibility of renewal depending on performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Value.<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The service contract will have an approximate monthly fee value of $6.000.000 M\/Cte.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Dedication<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Approximately 40 hours per week are expected.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Execution time <\/b><\/h6>\n<p><b>- Start date.<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week of October 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Requirements.<\/b><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undergraduate degree in law with a valid professional card.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrable professional experience of at least seventeen (17) months if they have specialised in the fields of criminal law, criminal procedure, international humanitarian law, conflict resolution, human rights, transitional justice or similar.
