1. Description.<\/strong>\u00a0The Human Rights Area of Colombia Diversa is in charge of collecting, systematising and analysing information on the human rights situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people at the national level. With this information, it prepares annual reports, designs and implements advocacy strategies with state institutions and international human rights bodies on protection, prevention and access to justice, and organisational strengthening for both human rights organisations and other LGBT organisations. Finally, it is also the technical coordinator of the Regional Network SInViolencia LGBTI, the first network of organisations that monitors homicides of LGBTI people in Latin America and the Caribbean, which also designs and implements dissemination and advocacy strategies at the regional level.<\/p>\n

2. Functions of the Coordination.<\/strong>\u00a0The Coordination reports directly to the Executive Directorate. Its functions include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Area planning.<\/strong>\u00a0Design and monitoring of the annual action plan of the Human Rights Area in terms of research, dissemination, advocacy and organisational strengthening.<\/li>\n
  2. Coordination.<\/strong>\u00a0The Coordination also performs management tasks for the people and sub-divisions in the area.<\/li>\n
  3. Internal articulation.<\/strong>\u00a0She leads the articulation of the Human Rights Area with other work areas of the organisation, such as Litigation, Communications, Peace and the Administrative Area.<\/li>\n
  4. Incident representation.<\/strong>\u00a0She represents Colombia Diversa in advocacy and dialogue with different actors, including state institutions, embassies, international human rights organisations, civil society organisations and the media.<\/li>\n
  5. Communication with cooperation agencies and donors.<\/strong>\u00a0Maintains a constant dialogue with the cooperation agencies that finance the Area's work, and coordinates the preparation and presentation of regular administrative reports to these donors.<\/li>\n
  6. Advocacy Strategies.<\/strong>\u00a0It identifies, proposes and executes advocacy actions aimed at the Colombian state and its different entities, as well as at international organisations and their agencies, such as the United Nations.<\/li>\n
  7. Training and capacity building.<\/strong>\u00a0The Coordination also provides training, capacity building and recommendations to public and private entities on LGBT rights and the investigation of human rights violations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    3. Type of contract.<\/strong>\u00a0Fixed-term employment contract.<\/p>\n

    4. Value.<\/strong>\u00a0The Contract will have an approximate value in the range of $4,400,000 to $5,000,000,000 plus legal and social security benefits. The contract will depend on experience, academic background, performance in the evaluation process and the institutional salary scale.<\/p>\n

    5. Dedication.<\/strong>\u00a0Full time.<\/p>\n

    6. Requirements.<\/strong>\u00a0To apply for the position of Human Rights Coordinator, the person must meet and prove the following requirements:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Studies:<\/strong>\u00a0Undergraduate degree in law, political science, sociology, anthropology, social work or related fields.<\/li>\n
    2. General Experience.<\/strong>\u00a0At least 5 years of professional experience and in addition the following must be accredited\u00a0specific accredited experiences:<\/strong><\/strong>a). Specific Experience I: LGBT HRDs.<\/strong>\u00a03 years of experience in LGBT Human Rights.
      \nb). Specific Experience II: Coordination.<\/strong>\u00a02 years of experience related to Project Coordination including 2.1 - Project planning, management and monitoring and 2.2 - Team management.
      \nc). Specific Experience III: Research and publication.<\/strong>\u00a02 years of experience related to 3.1 - Elaboration of human rights reports and 3.2 - Management of databases and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information.
      \nd). Specific Experience IV. Advocacy and inter-institutional relations.<\/strong>\u00a02 years in advocacy, including: 4.1 - Liaison with different actors, in particular state institutions, international organisations, donors and civil society organisations and their respective 4.2 - National and international advocacy.<\/li>\n
    3. Language:<\/strong>\u00a0Minimum requirements: English C1.<\/li>\n
    4. Place of Residence.<\/strong>\u00a0Once the health crisis has been overcome, under the terms decreed by the authorities, he will have to reside in Bogot\u00e1, Colombia.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
