Law 1448 of 2011, known as the law on victims and land restitution, states in Article 3 that persons who have suffered harm as a result of the armed conflict since 1 January 1985 are considered victims, with no exceptions based on sexual orientation or gender identity different from the victims. On the contrary, this article expressly recognises that same-sex couples are considered victims.
