Truth Commission launches entertaining digital quiz to show Colombians what the colour of their truth looks like

It is a virtual experiment designed by the Truth and Pacifist Commission. The test will be hosted on the www.elcolordetuverdad.com until the end of 2020 and will yield very interesting insights into how we Colombians think.

Who tells the truth, who has it or who gives it? These are big questions that humanity has been asking for centuries. But there are other, more everyday questions that could provide clues to this elusive concept of truth. For example: what would you do if you saw your friend 'cheating' on his partner, or would you tell lies to get a job? That's what THE COLOUR OF YOUR TRUTH is all about, an entertaining 17-question digital quiz based on a very simple premise: there is not just one truth, but many.

This experiment by the Truth Commission, supported by Pacifista! promotes reflection on how truths are influenced by origins, social contexts, interpretations, ways of looking at life and even prejudices that we have all acquired. In this sense, at the end of the questionnaire each Colombian will receive a design with unique shapes and colours for each person, where they will see how their own truth would look like, a combination that is unrepeatable like a fingerprint.

In this fun study, thousands of Colombians will not only answer everyday questions about love, work or even optical illusions, but will also give their opinion on how the events of the conflict have affected them, their confidence in the country's institutions and who owes the most truth to Colombia. In this sense, the test also serves as a public opinion poll.

THE COLOUR OF YOUR TRUTH proposes to reflect on the value of each Colombian's truth, as no truth is the same as another, and therefore each one contributes to the historical work of the Truth Commission, prior to the delivery of its final report next year. What is the truth that Colombians expect? Is it possible that we all believe in a single truth? How is truth constructed? This quiz will place users in everyday, fun situations and also poses the toughest personal questions in the context of the Colombian armed conflict.

EL COLOR DE TU VERDAD will be available until the end of 2020 and is part of the Generation V+ project, which has brought together free citizens and young people from all corners of the country to support the ideals of peace and the construction of a truth that will resonate when the Commission ceases to exist.

On 11 November, in a symbolic event, artists such as Juanes, Carlos Vives and Adriana Lucía joined their voices and testimonies to sow their idea of truth-building in the transition towards a possible future and the non-repetition of the internal armed conflict.

EL COLOR DE TU VERDAD will also be hosted on the portals and media allied to Generation V+, such as Pacifista, Comisión de la Verdad, Publimetro, Canal Capital, La Nueva Prensa, El Suoreste newspaper, etc.
