Colombia Diversa opens call for applications for podcast production company

  1. Context and justification

Colombia Diversa is a social organisation with more than two decades of experience in the defence and promotion of the rights of LGBTIQ+ people in Colombia. In recent years, through the area of Peace and Transitional Justice, the organisation has focused its work on contributing to peacebuilding by documenting violence against LGBTIQ+ people in the context of the armed conflict, representing their cases before judicial mechanisms, providing psychosocial support and creating processes of memory through cultural initiatives.

Within this framework, Colombia Diversa seeks to develop a podcast programme that contributes to making visible the stories of resistance of LGBTIQ+ people who are victims of violence. Specifically, to promote a narrative that recognises their experiences, strengthens collective memory, promotes empathy and contributes to the construction of a more just and inclusive society. For this reason, we imagine as an audience to the international community, academia, adults interested in peacebuilding and/or gender issues, as well as institutional decision-makers.
