In the midst of a worrying context of uncertainty and with the hopes of civil society for a lasting peace, Colombia Diversa, an organisation that fights for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, signs an agreement of understanding with the Truth Clarification Commission (Comisión del Esclarecimiento de la Verdad-CEV).
"The signing of this agreement, in this turbulent context, which threatens the stability of peace, is a manifestation of civil society's irrevocable commitment to peacebuilding and reconciliation. The struggle for diversity and equality will never be compatible with any form of expression of armed struggle", says Marcela Sánchez Buitrago, executive director of Colombia Diversa.
