I come from a country scarred by war but hopeful for peace, a country where the organisation I lead has been working with the feminist movement for twenty years to defend the rights of women in Colombia.

Justice for a family discriminated against at a Medellín clinic
Colombia Diversa celebrates the fact that Juan's family, made up of his two mothers, Laura and Camila, have obtained the justice they were seeking after being discriminated against twice in a clinic in Medellín. The story goes back to 2020, when Laura and Camila took Juan, a three year old boy, to a clinic in Medellín.

We are very close to achieving a Women, Peace and Security Agenda Action Plan.
We continue to advance in the participatory construction of the National Action Plan of Resolution 1325, with feminist and women's organisations The Alliance 1325, made up of fourteen feminist and women's organisations, including Colombia Diversa, delivered to representatives of the national government and international cooperation actors five technical documents with contributions and recommendations for the design, formulation and implementation of the National Action Plan of Resolution 1325.

Justice moves forward for lesbian mother who could not register her unborn daughter in Venezuela
By means of a tutela action, Colombia Diversa succeeded in getting the 36th Family Court of Bogotá to recognise that the minor had the right to legal personality and to have a family, and ordered the Registrar's Office to issue the civil registry of birth with the registration of the two mothers of the child.
