Call for proposals to create the Colombia Diversa brand manual and reformulate the graphic line.

  1. BACKGROUND:        

Colombia Diversa is the leading social organisation in the defence of the human rights of LGBT people in the country. Since its creation in 2004, it has sustained different areas of work, including the area of communications. In recent years, this area has achieved exponential growth thanks to the creation of innovative content on life experiences, human rights, litigation and other content related to the LGBT population.

Now the organisation is looking to take a further step in the consolidation of this work by renewing its graphic identity so that its public continues to be close to the content created and, additionally, recognises and identifies the organisation with graphic elements in which there is unity. That is why we are looking for a graphic designer and/or a company specialised in brand unity management to take on this task.

2. OBJECTIVES:   

  • Design the organisation's brand manual.
  • Reformulate a new graphic line for the organisation's different communication channels, including social networks and external actions such as training or conferences.
  • Include in the brand unit proposal specific guidelines for different formats, such as pictoline, podcast and video.
  • To train the Colombia Diversa designer for the implementation of all of the above.

For these objectives, the team or consultant is expected to analyse the contents produced by Colombia Diversa and to take into account the organisation's objectives in order to advise the organisation on the task of renewing its graphic identity.

3. PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:                                                                                              

  • More than 3 years of experience in graphic design.
  • Experience in the creation of graphic identity for organisations and/or companies.
  • Experience in producing videos and social media posts with local, national and regional impact.
  • Specific experience in human rights and sexual and gender diversity would be an asset.
  • In the case of a consultancy team, indicate the person who will coordinate the team.

4. EXPECTED PRODUCTS:                                                                                                            

  • A document is expected to explain and justify the brand guidelines, fonts and/or typography, use of colours, chromatic ranges, improper use of the brand, use of the logo, among other aspects that serve as a guide for the communications area and external agents when creating different content. This manual should be operational and accessible to implement the guidelines for the use of the image.
  • Creation of at least four templates for each social media content. These include different formats such as pieces with breaking news, emblematic dates, general data, "pictoline", podcast and video. It is also expected that, depending on the case, each of the templates will be adapted for the different platforms (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook).
  • Creation of templates for presentations, organisational presentations, guidelines for banners, internal and external documents.
  • Workshop to train the graphic designer and the members of the area on the guidelines of the brand manual.

5. AMOUNT OF THE CONSULTANCY:    

The range of the consultancy is between $7,000,000 and $ 9,000,000.

The aforementioned value is not exempt from the application of taxes, withholdings and duties, which depend on the tax regime of the consultant.

If you are a natural person, you may be required to pay social security contributions. 

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:    

Intellectual property rights and other proprietary rights, including any products or manuals that are produced, prepared or obtained as a result of or in the course of this consultancy belong to Colombia Diversa.

7.  CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:   

  • Proposals should include the following:
  1. Technical proposal.
  2. Work schedule.
  3. Portfolio of the work team.
  4. Budget and quotation.

 

Payment Schedule:

Initial payment: 50 % of the total value upon delivery of a first document including a diagnosis of the use of Colombia Diversa's image and brand in the different communication channels and a proposal of deliverables.

Final payment: 50 % of the remaining value with the delivery of the brand manual and templates for the different communication channels.

Each payment shall be subject to COLOMBIA DIVERSA's approval of the delivered product. Adjustments may be requested.
