Description: We are looking for a person with creative and strategic skills to manage digital communication and content design for two LGBTIQ+ networks in Latin America and the Caribbean: Red Sin Violencia and Red de Litigantes LGBTI+ de las Américas. The objective is to plan, execute and monitor communication strategies both on and off social media that promote human rights, activism, awareness of bias-based violence and gender issues with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
Responsibilities:
- Content creation: Develop and design visual and written content for social networks (images, videos, infographics, articles, etc.) aligned with the values of the networks and their campaigns.
- Communication strategy: Plan and execute communication strategies on social media and through digital platforms, ensuring an active and significant presence on both networks.
- Website managementMaintain and update network websites, ensuring that information is up to date and accessible.
- Graphic designCreate artwork consistent with the visual identity of the networks, including promotional materials, document publications and information resources.
- Data analysisMonitoring the impact of communication strategies through metrics and analysis, providing periodic reports with suggestions for improvement.
- Interdepartmental collaborationWork closely with the team coordinating the networks and with network members: human rights practitioners, litigators and others to coordinate communication campaigns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in content creation, graphic design and digital communication.
- Advanced knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.).
- Experience in the management of social media and web platforms (WordPress)
- Knowledge in SEO, SEM, and digital marketing strategies.
- Basic programming skills or familiarity with website management.
- Training or experience in journalism, social communication or related fields.
- Knowledge or experience working on gender, gender-based violence, human rights and diversity issues.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work as part of a team.
- Creativity and sensitivity to LGBTIQ+ issues, human rights and social justice.
Additional assessments:
- Experience in working with civil society organisations, preferably at regional level and in the field of human rights or sexual and gender diversity.
- Knowledge of digital impact analysis and measurement tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
- Writing and editing skills, with a clear approach and adapted to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in multicultural and inclusive environments.
Type of contract and term: service contract governed by Colombian law. As of 01 November 2024, approximately.
Contract value:
For people living in Colombia: the Contract will have a maximum value of approximately 6,000,000 million pesos.
For foreign nationals: the Contract will have a maximum value of approximately 1.500USD per month, the form of payment of which will be subject to negotiation at the time of the contract.
Considerations for international payments:
(a) Variation of the value for fees in dollars. The value may vary according to the exchange rate between Colombian pesos and the foreign currency on the day the payment is negotiated each month. It may also vary due to the rates generated between Colombian pesos and the currency of the bank account where the payment will be received. Colombia Diversa will not assume positive or negative differences caused by exchange rates.
(b) Taxes and Withholding Taxes for fees in dollars. Likewise, please note that according to Colombian Legislation the values may be encumbered by additional fees, taxes or obligations. Withholding taxes for payments abroad to foreigners are twenty percent (20%) or as established by the Colombian Legislation in force. The value of the 20% withholding is not applicable to non-profit organisations (proven in tax documents of their country of origin). If you are a resident in Colombia, you must pay social security and submit tax returns with each collection account of the contract.
(c) Bank Fees for International Transfers. Colombia Diversa will not assume the costs for international transfers and they will be charged to the monthly amount.
