POSITION: Pedagogical Professional

DESCRIPTION: The pedagogical professional is responsible for leading, designing and implementing Colombia Diversa's pedagogical processes, as well as advising the organisation on pedagogical decisions made by the Executive Directorate and the different areas of work.

Its functions shall include the following:

FUNCTIONS:

• Lead, execute and implement the design, development, monitoring and evaluation of training and capacity building processes on LGBT rights for Colombia Diversa.

• Support the design, development, monitoring and evaluation of organisational strengthening activities to be carried out with allies in different departments.

• Lead and implement the creation and implementation of pedagogy strategies in support of the organisation's mission and strategic plan.

• Design trainings, workshops and/or conferences on diversity and building more inclusive environments and services for different audiences, e.g. private sector organisations, journalists, educational settings, activists, other NGOs, among others.

• Advise and support the different areas in the construction of pedagogical strategies and their implementation and development.

• Promote, lead and develop processes of constructive dialogue between different actors on issues such as gender and diversity, religious issues and LGBT rights, among others.

• Other activities and functions that may be established by the Executive Directorate of Colombia Diversa.

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT: Service contract for 6 months with the possibility of renewal depending on performance. The contract will be signed immediately upon completion of the selection process.

VALUE: The value will be negotiated according to experience, studies and in accordance with the salary scale of the organisation. It will have a monthly value of approximately $5,300,000.

DEDICATION: A minimum availability of 35 hours per week is expected.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Undergraduate in Pedagogy.
2. Postgraduates: Specialisation and/or master's degrees in education, human rights, and gender in other fields would be an asset.
3. Experience: Minimum experience of at least three (3) years of experience in pedagogical processes and activities associated with rights, elimination of prejudices and/or transformation of imaginaries.
4. Knowledge: Knowledge of gender and LGBTI rights is required.
5. Language. A good level of English (minimum B2) and/or other languages would be an asset.
6. Place of Residence. Once the health crisis has been overcome, under the terms decreed by the authorities, he will have to reside in Bogotá, Colombia.
7. Availability to carry out virtual and face-to-face activities. The latter under the terms established by the health authorities.

• Evaluation Mechanism. Applicants will be assessed on their CV, as well as being called for interviews. Whoever obtains the best score in the latter will be selected for the position. Additional written material or evidence may be requested if the Evaluation Committee deems it appropriate.
