- Position. Litigation Lawyer
 - Description. The person performing the duties of this position will work under the authority of Coordination of Colombia Diversa's Advocacy Area or whoever it designates as coordinator/supervisor of the contract and will be in charge of representing and accompanying cases of LGBTIQ+ people motivated by sexual orientation and gender identity, with special emphasis on cases related to the health sector, without being the only ones.
 
The person will also support in the development of criteria for the selection of cases, analyse and propose strategies for the representation of cases, follow up on cases, provide consultations and advice to the LGBTIQ+ population or those that may be indicated to them, prepare reports on their activities in accordance with the formats established for this purpose, technical follow-up and training for the project. The person will be proxy in civil, administrative, criminal and other matters designated by the area of impact.
It will also work in spaces of interaction with LGBT people who are victims of violence due to prejudice, local civil society organisations, carrying out awareness-raising activities, training and/or pedagogy on the rights of LGBTIQ+ people, strategic litigation, among others related to the claim, defence and guarantee of the rights of LGBTIQ+ people.
In this sense, this position is intended for the person hired to carry out advocacy, legal education and litigation actions to be carried out by Colombia Diversa in Bogotá and different departments.
- Functions. The main functions include the following:
 
- Participation in civil society meetings and/or meetings with state actors. The person will be responsible for participating in face-to-face and/or virtual meetings with civil society entities and individuals related to LGBTQ+ rights and access to justice, legal aspects, among other elements.
 - Litigation and Advocacy Actions. Devise, participate in and implement litigation and advocacy actions related to different aspects:
 - Cases of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in different sectors associated with labour, civil, criminal and/or constitutional issues.
 - Advising, accompanying and representing cases. Provide consultations, advice, representation and/or accompaniment in civil, family, criminal, labour or other cases related to discrimination based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
 - Drafting of legal documents. Prepare legal documents including rights of petition, tutelas, lawsuits, claims of unconstitutionality, amici curiae with national and regional justice operators, among others.
 - Participation in reports and responses to questionnaires. Participate in the elaboration of human rights reports, investigative processes, and/or responses to questionnaires from UN Special Procedures, treaty bodies and/or IACHR.
 - Workshops and talks. Hold talks or workshops associated with the above points, under the coordination of the Advocacy Area and/or the Education Area of Colombia Diversa;
 - Advise Colombia Diversa on internal affairs. Provide technical advice to Colombia Diversa on internal issues related to the above issues. Design, in conjunction with the psychosocial area, a strategy to guide interdisciplinary work between professionals with training in law, psychology and social work to accompany cases of violations against LGBTIQ+ people.
 - Internal meetings. Participate in the meetings established by the Advocacy Area's designated coordinator;
 - Reporting, accounts receivable and other aspects. Prepare the contract execution reports and fill in the respective documentation requested by donors in support of the contract;
 - Any other tasks designated by the Advocacy Area or the Directorate of Colombia Diversa associated with the purpose of this contract.
 
- Type of Recruitment. Contract for the Provision of Services, which is governed by the Legislation, rates and taxes of the Republic of Colombia. The contract will be signed for a period of two (2) months, with the possibility of extension depending on the availability of resources. The possibilities of renewal or the existence of the possibility of establishing another type of link with the organisation will depend on the performance and having other projects in the course of time.
 
The person is obliged to submit a report, social security form and corresponding collection account for each payment.
The contract has no exclusivity clause associated with it, but in consideration of the possibility of travelling to other cities or municipalities for the performance of the duties, the person is expected to have a full-time dedication (100%) for the execution of the tasks requested.
- Value. The Contract will have a value of 5'000.000.000 - 5'700.000 per month.
 - Dedication. Approximately 40 hours per week are expected.
 - Requirements. To be eligible for the position, the person must meet and prove the following requirements:
 
- Studies.
 
- Undergraduate in Law.
 - Postgraduates: Specialisation and/or master's degree in areas of labour law, civil law, criminal law, disciplinary law, administrative law, among others. Postgraduate studies in Procedural Law would be an asset.
 
- General Experience. 5 years' experience in law and/or 3 years' experience with a Master's degree.
 
- Specific Experience I. 3 years in representation, accompaniment, or otherwise adjudication of cases (from the judicial branch) in civil, family, criminal, labour or administrative litigation proceedings, as well as in immigration proceedings.
 
- Languages: Minimum requirements: Spanish C2.
 
- Knowledge: The person is expected to have knowledge of:
 
- Constitutional law.
 
- Procedural law.
 
- Civil law.
 
- Migration law
 
- General knowledge of family, criminal, labour and civil law.
 
- Knowledge related to LGBTIQ+ people, their issues and rights.
 - Residence: The person must reside in Bogotá or be able to move to the city.

8.1 Receipt of Applications. Applications will be accepted from 06 November until 12 November.
8.2 Evaluation. The Evaluation Committee will pre-qualify the CVs, establishing those that meet the minimum requirements. Subsequently, it will proceed to evaluate and assign a score to them based on the following criteria:
- Experience (12 points).
 - Academic qualifications (including postgraduate studies and languages) (4 points).
 - Previous experience in LGBTI and/or HRD or Sexual and Reproductive Rights organisations (4 points)
 
From this evaluation, the Committee will select the 3 resumes with the highest scores for interview.
8.3 Interviews. Each interview will last approximately 20 minutes. The Committee will allocate a score of up to 20 points for the interview. The following aspects will be assessed:
- Knowledge related to the position (5 points)
 - Solutions to day-to-day problems of the position to be filled (5 points)
 - Characteristics of previous experience and studies (5 points).
 - Other aspects on which the Committee decides to inquire (5 points).
 
8.4 Deliberation and Selection. The Committee will compare resumes and interviews and proceed to select the person for the position.
8.5 Acceptance. The Administrative Area of Colombia Diversa will be contacted to request additional documents and prepare the contract.
- Inabilities for contracting. Natural persons whose family circle includes an employee or contractor up to the second degree of consanguinity, affinity or civil relationship, who is currently linked to the organisation, will be ineligible to contract goods and services with Colombia Diversa. In the case of legal persons, the same restriction will apply in relation to their board of directors or management.
 
When the inability arises within the selection process, it shall be understood that the tenderer waives its participation in the process and the rights arising therefrom.
